Well, I like them much better than having swampy shoes, I will say that! They do move around a little bit in the shoes so they aren’t super secure in there, but as far as what I’ve found, they’re the best thing on the market to combat sweaty feet in sock-free shoes! Plus I like how you can machine wash them.
I am very pleased with this purchase. At first they did seem a bit expensive for what they are, however, I think they're worth the price because you can easily switch them from shoe to shoe. You don't have to buy multiple pairs for multiple shoes. They sticky side is really sticky. As you move them from shoe to shoe, they become less sticky, but once they are washed, they are as sticky as new! My feet sweat a lot, and I have always stayed away from shoes that have sweat-absorbing material (like cloth or sueded material) as the lining of the shoe because I know that eventually, the inside of the shoes will be too nasty to continue to wear. But these are the solution to that! I can now buy shoes that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to. This "shoe solution" does exactly what it promises.
I really liked this product. It fit my slip on shoe perfectly. The material is very comfortable and in fact i felt it gives a cushioning effect. One problem was that it doesn't actually stick on completely to the shoe. So few times it slipped out of the shoe. Otherwise it has been excellent and seems long lasting. I used it extensively for 3 weeks and machine wash works perfectly.
I have several pair of washable liners, but this is my first Soxsols. I really like that they stay in place. I have used them in sandals and they worked great. Also the tan color is much better than white. I just ordered them in black also. Haven’t washed them yet, but seem like they will be fine. I did trim them a bit at the toe end. They were easy to cut and remained neat. I really like them, but they are expensive. Time and wear will tell if they are worth $17.
Super soft to my feet. It is a little difficult to position them in the shoe before you put them on because they're not super sticky. But so far they do stay in place when I am wearing my shoes.
Great insoles that wash well. Exactly what I wanted to keep my flats/loafers from getting ruined.
These are great. I'm constantly struggling with the insoles of my flats getting dirty and needing replacing. These inserts definitely solve the problem since I can just wash them. I saw a few other people noted issues with them slipping in their shoes but if sized properly, you shouldn't have any issues. They really just need to be a tight fit and everything will be fine.
I hate wearing socks. These shoe inserts are exactly what I was looking for. They keep the inside of my shoes clean. When they become soiled, I hand wash them and hang to dry. Comfortable in all my shoes: deck shoes, sketchers, tennis shoes and slippers.
I just got these today so I cant report on long term use but these things are amazing. They were easy to trim to fit in my little flats and they didn't take up a lot of room so my flats still fit great. They added a little cushion which was my primary reason for getting them and my heel pain is completely gone.
I wanted thin inner soles to wear with my orthotics, which have a slippery surface, and these seemed right. I have worn them without socks, which I overlooked when buying them, but which is a great feature and will be nice when the weather is warmer. I have not washed them yet, so am eager to see how that works - good feature in theory.I was disappointed when I wore the SoxsolS with socks on a cold day. They did not stay flat, and were painful. Perhaps they are not intended except with bare feet?I think they will be good in warm weather.
They make my shoes feel too small. They are too thick.
These are amazing for sufferers of hyperhydrosis.
I work in a casual office and find myself in flats all the time (they go with everything!) but I hated the sweaty/smelly post-work day foot thing. These inserts are great, and unlike others, are completely machine washable! Cut down to size and you are ready to go. Love that they are made of natural wool fibre and so do honestly naturally absorb odours and sweat without getting smelly themselves. I will be putting these in all my flats for the summer and even some sandals.
These were OK for the first day. BUT they made my feet extremely hot and they don’t seem to be breathable at all. If they are made to wear once and wash each time, that’s not a great thing. I wore inside my boat shoes on a trip and no way I could wash and have ready for the next day. Also, they do slide around inside. So occasionally had to take my shoe off to adjust. Around 5 times a day. However, I was walking a lot on my trip.
I got these to line a pair of booties that have cutouts, and I don't want to wear socks. I had tried a pair of Gekks, but I couldn't always get my little toe into the front section, and it was annoying to wear that way. Also the adhesive on the Gekks pulled up parts of the insole when removing it. This insert covers the shoe insole perfectly, and protects the shoe from sweating on the sole of your foot where it is an issue, not on the top of your toes! There is non-slip silicone on the bottom, but it's not an adhesive so while it doesn't slip, it also comes out readily. They are washable, and the lining is a neutral beige so it doesn't look like there is an insert on revealing shoes. It is very thin so doesn't take up room in a flat or pump, and could be used on a sandal. I haven't had to do this, but you could probably trim to fit if needed. A great price, and I will get a few more to have on hand. Best solution for sockless style!
I have a pair of favorite Kenneth Cole summer dressy slip ons that became very worn and slippery smooth in the insole, and looser in fit (floppy) but they're still in great shape and they go with many outfits. The shoe repair guy said to find an insert to adhere to it but it's not easy to find tan or brown ones. I wear a size 9 and only had to trim a very little off the toe area for a perfect fit. Comfortable terry cloth feel, adds a little cushion and discreet. Didn't need to glue it down as it has its own sticky base so they can be washed and reused. Very pleased so far.
I don’t even know why I need shoes with these. I just tape or tie them to my feet and off I go on my search for feral cats. These are great for that because they are so quiet and you can sneak up on them. Feral cats love being snuck up on and given a gentle pat on the head. Sometimes I’ll put my cat costume on and put some soles on my hands and walk around on all fours.
I was fairly sure these were not going to serve my purpose, which wasn't exactly what these were made for, but I bought them anyway. Let me tell you, they are so much better than I could have imagined! I had purchased some used Birkenstock sandals on Ebay that had some damage to the insoles. (I bought them anyway because the company had discontinued the purple suede.) The "damage" was much rougher than I could tell from the photos. I tried smoothing it down with sand paper, looked in to replacing the insole, and decided they were a total loss, but, I never actually tossed them. The other day I thought, it couldn't hurt to try insole inserts. These completely solve the problem. They fit superbly, I didn't have to buy "one-sized" and cut them, they stay in place, and they completely mask the unevenness of the insoles below. Hallelujah!
If they were bundled or cheaper I would order a pair for every pair of flats I own. They are comfortable, not bulky, and after 1 wash (in a lingerie bag), they appear to be holding well. However, positioning them is not easy. One of its benefits (the grippy bottom) is at the same time a hindrance. Because they are grippy you cant just pick the insert and put in another pair of shoes just like that; you need to work with the placement etc. The other drawback is the price. Still, I will probably keep buying (I have 3 pairs already), because they allow me to wear loafers and flats without socks and that's worth it.
I purchased the size 8 for my 7.5 pumps. They feel good and my foot is not sliding forward when i walk. Good buy I would purchase again.
Work fantastic for my loafers and converse with no socks, my preferred way to wear my shoes. Wore them all day and no odor or sweaty feet :-)4 stars because I just got them, have not washed them yet.
These inserts are fantastic! I use them with my Tom's shoes and they don't affect the fit much at all (and I have pretty wide feet, so not a lot of excess space to begin with). I tried another pair of insoles and they took up more space and also slipped around inside the shoe; I much prefer the Soxsols. Plus, they're washable! For the price, I would expect they last a long time, and they've held up very well after several months of heavy use and multiple washes. They do just fine in the washer and dryer. One tip: the "sticky" side will often pick up lint in the dryer, making it less sticky. When I take them out of the dryer, I just wipe that side with a wet rag to remove excess lint, then let them air dry before putting them back in my shoes. Good as new!
I have purchased several different types of sock type insoles through the years, and this is the first one I have been completely happy with. Prior to this, I used to use the Pedag washable insoles, which were ok, but too thick. And this would make shoes too tight, so I needed to size up. They were the best available though, until Soxsols came along. These are awesome. I have 5 pairs in all my commonly used flats. I have not tried to wash them yet, but according to other reviewers, they wash up fine. Even if this were not the case, they would be worth it.
No more embarrassing foot odor! I peel out my insoles in my super comfortable flats because after a day of work, I can smell my feet. Switched them with these, and no more smell! It would be nice if they were stickier. The package says they are machine washable, so I don't want to glue them in. The 8-8.5 fit my feet really well. Normal shoe size US 8.5 women's. Can't be happier with this purchase.
Positive first. They are the size they said they would be. They are soft and comfortable; Weak points: Very thin. There is an adhesive on one side This is both good and bad. They stay where you pout them but do not recommend washing them. Grossly overpriced for what they are. Will look for a different inset next time.
