Manufactured in Oregon, SoxsolS are a
revolutionary hybrid sock insole that provides an
absorbent layer of thick fabric that adheres to the
footbed of your sandal to prevent slipping, while also
blocking perspiration and acids from sinking into the
sandal, preventing odors and unsightly stains.
Here’s how they work: each pair comes with two
distinct layers: a top side made from either cotton or
wool (whichever you prefer), and a bottom side made
from tacky silicon rubber.
The fabric layer in SoxsolS machine washable inserts is from a selection of heavyweight cotton and wool knits and weaves. The thickness provides a plush feeling for the foot while absorbing perspiration and allowing the heel of the foot to breath.
At left is a detail view of the brown ( or “cork” ) cotton terry. The loops of the cotton terry provide toughness so the fabric is durable to wear while providing volume to soak up perspiration.
Our cotton is manufactured in the USA while the wool is sourced from overseas.
To wear place the tacky side into your sandal, and then put your foot in.
If the shoe has been worn without Soxsols washable inserts before there may be a few iterations of the SoxsolS slipping as the tacky silicone rubber picks up particles of grit and dust. A few wash cycles and actually the SoxsolS help make the footbed cleaner by pulling out the grit!
The silicon grips the footbed while the upper layer
retains moisture. It’s that simple!
Like socks, SoxsolS machine washable inserts can be laundered with regular laundry. SoxsolS inserts will handle the mechanical stress of the machine clothes washer and clothes dryer.
Please note that clothes drying machines do create lint which can compromise the tack of the silicone. If this is a concern simply air drying will yield a tackier silicone.
After laundering wear again!
